Maurice (Moe) Wilkerson, a distinguished member of the Advisory Board of Black Progress Matters, has been actively supporting our organization's mission since September 2021. With an extensive Human Resources (HR) background, Moe brings unparalleled expertise and a wealth of experience to the board. His contributions and dedication to advancing Black leadership in the workplace have been invaluable.

Moe currently serves as the Vice President of Global HR Services at Tenneco, a prominent multinational corporation. In this role, he leads transformative initiatives, oversees shared services, and drives talent acquisition and functional excellence. His visionary approach has been instrumental in shaping the company's HR strategy to meet the evolving needs of its global workforce.

Education and Professional Achievements:

Moe holds a degree from Central Michigan University, further enhancing his understanding of HR practices and their application in the corporate world. He has continuously pursued professional development and is recognized as a Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) and a Project Management Professional (PMP).

Tenneco (Jan 2021 - Present):
As the Vice President of Human Resource Services, Moe has been at the forefront of leading transformational efforts within Tenneco. His expertise in shared services, talent acquisition, and functional excellence has played a pivotal role in driving operational effectiveness and ensuring a positive employee experience across the organization.

Eaton (Dec 2012 - Jan 2021):
During his eight-year tenure as the Director of Global HR Services at Eaton, Moe spearheaded the establishment of an HR Services organization that delivered a wide range of employee lifecycle services to businesses worldwide. Under his leadership, the team successfully implemented various programs, including compensation services, employee onboarding, scheduling, program deployment, operational excellence, employee contact center, and employee data management.

Xerox Services (May 2012 - Dec 2012):
Moe served as the VP of Account Executive, where he partnered with clients to understand their unique business objectives and provided tailored HR solutions to align with their strategic goals. His ability to bridge the gap between HR and business objectives made him a trusted advisor to his clients.

IBM (Jan 2008 - May 2012):
As a Managing Consultant in HR Strategy and Transformation at IBM, Moe collaborated with clients to redesign HR processes, develop organizational structures, and implement effective HR delivery strategies. His expertise in change management ensured successful outcomes for clients undergoing organizational transformations.

McGraw-Hill (Mar 2006 - Feb 2008):
Moe served as a Human Resource Manager at McGraw-Hill, where he focused on performance management, leadership development, employee relations, and workforce strategy. His contributions were instrumental in fostering a culture of growth and development within the organization.

Owens Corning (Aug 2005 - Feb 2006):
In his role as a Human Resource Leader, Moe played a key role in performance management, employee relations, and workforce planning. His efforts contributed to the overall success of the organization's HR initiatives.

Nationwide Insurance (Jul 1999 - Jul 2005):
During his time as a Human Resource Consultant at Nationwide Insurance, Moe excelled in performance management, workforce planning, employee relations, and sales recruitment. His strategic guidance and expertise significantly impacted the organization's HR practices.
